Pay No Attention To The Man Behind The Curtain is the debut EP from Denver resident Dismal Futures soon to drop on July 8^th and available on iTunes, Rhapsody and AmazonMP3. The first track on the album �Straight From the Horse�s Ass� is about 90 BPM, a dark hip-hop synth layered piece, sampling George W. Bush speech clips; a sardonic showcase of some of his most controversial statements. The second track �Theolitics� is perhaps my favorite track, a deep track around 85 BPM with an organic and wistful flute. The melody carries you down a nostalgic blippy and percussive river. The third track is a Dismal Futures remix of a song by Jaime Woon called �Wayfaring Stranger�. Jaime Woon�s vocals and lyrics are reminiscent of Jamie Lidell and the drums, simple synth and reverb make it a groovy track. The last track �Suicide Of The Everyman� is a slow and undulating track almost menacing as it builds gently and breaks on forgiving soft piano notes It�s a pensive and promising Downtempo EP to be released on Dismal Recordings.

"ROCK IT 4 NON-PROFIT"

Benefiting Mustache4Cash/Color4Kidz

October 22

7:30 p.m.

DENVER - Local Musicians from all over the Denver metro area are coming together for one night of great music for a great cause. The Gristle Gals, Bemused, Jason Vigil, and The Guilt Complex are putting on a charity concert to help raise money for at-risk youth for a fundraiser called "Rock It 4 a Non-Profit".

Casselman's Bar and Venue at 2620 Walnut Street in Denver has offered up its space, and four amazing bands will perform to raise money. The goal of the event is to raise $3,000 for The Byrne Urban Scholars and Colorado Youth at Risk, two organizations that work to help teens stay in school and graduate from high school in Colorado . All of the money collected will be directed towards scholarships, mentoring, tutoring and college prep programs.

There will be free giveaways throughout the night while collecting donations at the same time. Band members have also been raising money during the month of October in a fun and unique way. Each band members is collecting pledges from friends, family, and fans as the band members each grow a mustache and/or color their hair.

The cost for the October 22nd event is $5, and all of the proceeds will go towards "Mustache4Cash/Color4Kidz".
