DB and the Catastrophe
About DB and the Catastrophe:
The band was started when front man Dylan Busby, DB, started to create what he thought would be a solo album. The first album is now named Fade-Out and is in early release stage and available only at live shows right now. It was produced and engineered by Ed Edwards, of Summit Road Studio, Jason Livermore, of the Blasting Room, and Dylan Busby. The album was carefully put together while tracking to bring out an amplitude of sonic differences.
The band is starting to focus on certain areas of music, but are still not tying themselves down. What you will hear on the album are songs that DB wrote and performed in Denver. Some of it is also in a time period where DB found himself as an artist who didn't want to be tied down to one certain genre and the band decided that whatever came out of his head, was just going to come out. The band has been able to take a different style and appeal to so many different crowds. The band’s laid back songs, such as; C Sharp, Armageddon, and Your Skin, set a totally different mood than the Modern Rock, Pop-Punk, and Ska songs such as; Love Pirate, Knocked Out, and Take Me Away, but with the variety can appeal to the Adult, Adult Contemporary, Jazz lovers, Punks, Ska crowd, and many more with the diversity of the music.
The band is now focused on playing live shows and marketing themselves. They are counting on YOU the fan to use the word of mouth to spread the news of DB and the Catastrophe.
When the band started out DB was able to pull from a pool of some of his friends and people who he has always been around in the industry. Playing guitar, singing back up, and trumpet is Tyler McGoffin, McG. Rocking and walking up the bass for the group is Ricky Brown. Sitting behind and holding the group together as a whole, is Diego Valenzuala on drums.
