A Needle in Uh Haystack, the debut mixtape from 1P of HGMG & the #JediLife delivers insightful lyrics combined with creatively mastered production. The album, which contains 16 tracks, has numerous collaborations with local artists and producers. The album’s title track was produced by Sells Beats and hits you with an intricate lyrical masterpiece. The track “Hello,” produced by 9th Wonder, has a smooth east-coast vibe reminiscent of late ’90s hip hop. The track “#HashTag Swag,” produced by Stompboxx Music, shows 1P’s ability to switch his rap style to an almost pop style of song, but he keeps his lyrics intriguing enough to invoke you to keep listening. I could continue, but instead I’m telling you to go get this mixtape. This album is fire from beginning to end, enough said. So, if you’re looking for good music, 1P’s A Needle in Uh Haystack is the album for you.
