Epicloud (released September 18, HevyDevy Records) is the 15th studio album by the Canadian musician/producer and the fifth record in the Devin Townsend Project series. The deluxe edition Epiclouder contains a second disc with ten additional tracks (limited 5,000 copy release). Townsend described the album on Twitter as “Big, heavy, romantic kind of melodic stuff. Pretty, ethereal and simple.” The tour continues to trek across North America through the end of September.
What is on the agenda ahead? Townsend posted on his Twitter earlier this year, “Working on a scheme to make Ziltoid 2 a feature length (ghetto style) movie!” Referring to Zed Squared, the long awaited second Ziltoid chapter which, according to Townsend it will be much more “epic” than the first 2007 installment, Ziltoid the Omniscient.
