Fort Collins, CO ( 2/21/2014) – The sixth annual FoCoMX (Fort Collins Music eXperiment), presented by FoCoMA (Fort Collins Musicians Association), will take place April 25 and 26, 2014. The festival showcases 150+ Northern Colorado artists at approximately 20 Fort Collins venues. The FoCoMX 6 website, with lineup and schedules, will launch March 3, 2014.

FoCoMX, presented by FoCoMA and sponsored by Odell Brewing Company, provides music enthusiasts with an opportunity to experience Northern Colorado’s extensive variety of bands from every genre, DJs, and other artists, all for a single ticket price.

The FoCoMX 6 lineup will include new and established acts, featured at both all-ages and 21+ venues.

FoCoMX started in 2009 as a grassroots experiment in promoting local music. The festival has grown, with an attendance of over 5000 in 2013, garnering national attention and earning FoCoMX the unofficial title of “The Biggest Little Festival in America.”  This flagship event, as presented by the nonprofit Fort Collins Musicians Association (FoCoMA), furthers their mission to provide education, support, and networking opportunities for the Fort Collins and greater northern Colorado music community.

To benefit the music  community, FoCoMX 6 will feature musician education panels and workshops, provided free to working musicians.

Of interest to parents and community members who favor family programming: FoCoMX 6 will offer several afternoon/evening, all-ages showcases, including expanded kids’ music workshops and a new evening venue partnership with the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery for youth and teen programming.

Discounted two-day wristbands will be available starting March 1 for $20 at FoCoMX.org. After April 11, wristbands will cost $30 and will be available online, at limited local retailers, and at the festival itself.
