Zombies, Vampires, and Taylor Swift, OH MY! is the latest CD from Justin Covergeist, as well as the titles of the first three tracks. The name Covergeist, inspired by his grandmother’s maiden name, Cover, and her married name, Geist, was instrumental in the CDs first song, “Zombie Man.” The track describes the deep love that one man (his grandfather) has for his wife, and the lengths he would go through (returning posthumously as a zombie) to be with her forever.

The multi-genre CD is flavored with every sound from old-school punk, “Zombie Man,” and “Cool Kids;” to ska, “Vampire Blood Bank,” (a conspiracy theory about the leader of the Red Cross being the head vampire) to a Jimmy Buffett-country sound in “F@*! ‘em and Leave ‘em” and “I Swear to God,” respectively. The CD rounds out with a live bluesy song “Bop Shoo Wop.” Many of my musical palettes were satisfied after just one listen; put this bad boy on repeat, and enjoy!
