Mellow Mushroom Introduces a Limited Time Menu, ‘Bootleg Bacon Fest’ through November 23rd Portion of Proceeds to Benefit Colorado Flood Victims

Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers announces its first annual Bootleg Bacon Fest, a celebration of all flavors porcine now through November 23. The expanded menu will feature an extensive assortment of bold, pork-based eats and treats designed by Mellow’s chefs both to intoxicate the senses and satisfy the bellies. Ten percent of proceeds from this menu at Mellow’s three Denver locations will be donated to the United Ways of Colorado Flood Recovery Fund to help victims of the recent disaster.

“Witnessing the amount of loss and devastation in the foothills made me want to find a meaningful way to contribute,” said Shane Purcel, owner of Mellow Mushroom Colorado. “After tossing around some options, I thought using the Bootleg Bacon Fest to create additional excitement for fundraising would fit very well with us. I am excited about our partnership with the United Ways of Colorado Flood Recovery Fund and being able to help the communities around us.”

The unique menu features new entrants in every category – from appetizer to main course and from dessert to cocktail – all using the traditional high quality ingredients customers expect from their Mellow experience. Below are just a few of the delicious new dishes available for a limited time only at Mellow Mushroom:

  • Bubba’s Bacon Bonanza: Customers will go hog wild for Mellow’s signature olive oil and garlic pizza base topped with applewood-smoked bacon, honey-glazed ham, pulled pork, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, and caramelized onions and garnished with a drizzle of BBQ sauce
  • The BLT Buckle: This BLT-style pizza is made with Mellow’s signature dough and topped with rich garlic aioli, applewood-smoked bacon, romaine ribbons, diced tomatoes and mozzarella and MontAmoré cheeses
  • The Doublewide: A Cuban-style sandwich truly befitting its name, this porker is made with pulled pork, applewood-smoked bacon, honey-glazed ham, mozzarella and MontAmoré cheeses, topped with pickled red onions and cucumbers and creamy dijonnaise

Never one to slack, the Mellow bar is also serving up two fresh new additions to the beverage menu: the Red Bourbon Barrelmade with Maker’s Mark bourbon, maple syrup, fresh citrus and Gnarly Head Merlot and the Call Me Pumpkin made with Sailor Jerry rum, pumpkin spice, fresh agave sour mix and our own Mellow meringue. Craft beer lovers will enjoy the Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar, which will be available at all Mellow locations during the limited time offer period.
