Those who made it out to Hi-Dive Wednesday night were treated to a spectacular show.  The sounds of the south took over as Reptar rocked out with fellow Georgians Quiet Hooves and the Boise based Finn Riggins.  It was a happy feel good affair that drew off of multiple musical influences and kept the crowd engaged, entertained and leaving with grins spreading from ear to ear.

Reptar rocked the Hi-Dive, opening with the single “Blast Off,” which is as funky as your grandma’s toe jam.  Their mix of synthesized keyboard, tribal influences, inspiring lyrics and uplifting spirits sent the crowd into a frenzy that went well into the night.  Reptar plays with a cohesiveness and chemistry that stems from being lifelong friends.  Playing songs from their debut album, Body Faucet due to be released May 1st, the six piece ensemble rips flawlessly through groove after groove, bringing high energy and a loud stage presence to their live show that transfixes the crowd.

At times sounding like MGMT, Foster the People, 3OH3 and with elements of the White Stripes, Reptar is an up and coming force.  If you missed the opportunity to see them Wednesday night, don’t worry, there is still a chance to catch these guys in action.  Reptar returns to Denver May 19th at the Bluebird for what will be an amazing, fun loving show.
