DENVER – Mar. 26th, 2014
The Yawpers are headed on a 15 date tour of the West Coast and Midwest with legendary rock and roll band, Nashville Pussy. Having recently released two recordings, and coming off of a month long tour culminating at SXSW, the Yawpers are ready to make some noise on the West Coast.
Already known for their loud, aggressive live performances, The Yawpers latest work has shown a shift from the purr Americana of earlier releases, to punk, psychedelic, and hard blues. With radio spins from New York to California, the band’s music has sparked interest across the country and garnered praise from critics.
Praise for the Yawpers:
The definitive sound of Colorado Americana” – Colorado Music Buzz
Cook is a songwriting visionary” – The Denver Post
Praise for Good Songs/Shitty Versions:
…a raucous, fueled-up and twanged-out romp” – Westword
These covers are loose and raw, going more for energy level that refinement. It’s a hell of a lot of fun and reckless” – The Denver Post
Praise for Sister Mary:
Let’s hope “Sister Mary” is a precursor of things to come in 2014” – Bucket Full of Nails

ABOUT THE YAWPERS:
A stripped down, brazen rock and roll band from Colorado, accompanied by overdriven acoustic guitars and a trap kit. Inspired by Whitman’s promise to “sound my barbaric yawp over the roofs of the world,” The Yawpers play music that is equal parts frenetic, earnest and menacing. Following the release of an EP in 2011, and their critically well-received LP, Capon Crusade, which debuted at #1 on Colorado radio, the Yawpers have a releasedan irreverent collection of covers and a new digital single.  Visitwww.theyawpers.com for more information or become a fan on Facebook atwww.facebook.com/yawpersmusic.
