Poet’s Row Album Review

Denver has a wide variety of folk music, and Poet’s Row is one that stands out from the crowd. Their new self-titled full length is thirteen songs of emotion and soul stemming from bluesy guitar riffs, harmonic vocals and that stingy smell of cheap whisky that never seems to come off your clothes.

Mickey Bakas has an eccentric voice that tends to stand out from the rest of the music, particularly on the tracks “Daydream” and “Firefly.” The record has a calming feel, and paints an image of the band as one who would be great to see in a dark dive on a rainy evening.
